With a generous 255-litre rainwater storage capacity, the Metropolitan planter collects rainfall from your roof guttering through a standard downpipe diverter and stores it for later use. Rainwater is naturally soft and ideal for watering flowers, shrubs and vegetable gardens, helping promote healthier plant growth while reducing reliance on mains water.

The integrated planter bowl at the top provides approximately 36 litres of planting capacity, giving you ample space for colourful flowers, herbs or decorative plants. This dual-purpose design turns a practical water tank into a striking garden feature that works perfectly on patios, courtyards, balconies and landscaped garden spaces.

Manufactured in the UK from high-quality MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene), the tank is rotationally moulded for exceptional strength and durability. The material is UV-stabilised and frost-resistant, meaning it can withstand changing weather conditions while maintaining its shape and colour. The opaque plastic construction also helps reduce algae growth by limiting sunlight entering the water reservoir.

For convenience, the planter includes two ½" BSP threaded outlets. The raised front outlet is ideal for attaching a brass tap and filling watering cans, while the lower outlet at the rear allows the tank to be drained completely or linked with additional water butts to expand your rainwater storage system.
