With a large 255-litre rainwater storage capacity, the Metropolitan planter collects rainfall from your roof guttering through a standard downpipe diverter and stores it for use around the garden. Rainwater is naturally soft and ideal for watering flowers, shrubs and vegetable gardens, helping promote healthier plant growth while reducing reliance on mains water.

At the top of the tank is an integrated planter bowl providing approximately 36 litres of planting capacity, giving you plenty of space for flowers, herbs or ornamental plants. This clever dual-purpose design turns a practical water storage tank into an attractive garden feature that works perfectly on patios, courtyards, balconies and landscaped outdoor spaces.

Manufactured in the UK from high-quality MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene), the tank is rotationally moulded for strength and long-term durability. The material is UV-stabilised and frost-resistant, ensuring the water butt maintains its shape and colour even in harsh weather conditions. The opaque construction also helps reduce algae growth by limiting sunlight entering the water reservoir.

For convenience, the planter includes two ½" BSP threaded outlets. The raised front outlet is ideal for attaching a tap and filling watering cans, while the lower outlet at the rear allows the tank to be fully drained or linked with additional water butts to expand your rainwater storage system.
